Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER III)
Streator Elementary School District #44 is applying to receive the third round of the Elementary & Secondary Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) allocated by the American Rescue Plan. All school districts must utilize at least 20 percent of the funds to address learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning loss is defined as skill deficiencies in academic subjects as well as social and emotional awareness.
The remaining 80 percent can be used to support learning loss, as well as a wide range of activities to address the needs arising from the coronavirus pandemic. Streator ESD #44 is seeking feedback from those with a vested interest in our district as to the use of these funds as required by the American Rescue Plan. Once the survey window closes, the grant application is submitted, and the district receives its first disbursement of funds, the ESSER-III Plan will be posted to the District website and include the results from this survey.
Please submit your responses to the survey linked below by Wednesday, September 1, 2021. If you have any questions please contact Dr. Lisa Parker, Superintendent at [email protected] .
