Northlawn currently houses approximately 700 fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students with a staff of forty-six teachers, twenty part-time aides, two full time secretaries, one part time lunch hour supervisor office clerk, a social worker, and a part-time custodial staff of five. One school nurse attends to Northlawn. Northlawn was erected in 1954-55 at a cost of $740,000.00 including the site, equipment, and fees. The cost was $12.50 a square foot of floor space and $.86 per cubic foot. The building contained nineteen classrooms plus the library and gymnasium.
The school grounds included about nine acres, and the enrollment in 1955
was 610 students in grade levels kindergarten through eighth grade.
