Northlawn currently houses approximately 800 fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students with a staff of fifty five   teachers,  fifteen aides, three full time secretaries, a social worker, and a custodial staff of five. One school nurse attends to Northlawn. Northlawn was erected in 1954-55 at a cost of $740,000.00 including the site, equipment, and fees.  The cost was $12.50 a square foot of floor space and $.86 per cubic foot.  The building contained nineteen classrooms plus the library and gymnasium. 

The school grounds included about nine acres, and the enrollment in 1955 was 610 students in grade levels kindergarten through eighth grade.
